Annual Early Career Investigator Award for Best Paper Published in 2008

The International Journal of Eating Disorders and Wiley InterScience are pleased to announce the annual Early Career Investigator Award in the amount of $2,500, given for the best paper published in the Journal each year. Eligible papers must appear in print by the end of the calendar year. To qualify for consideration, candidates must not be more than 5 years post advanced degree, or 5 years post residency or fellowship training. Equal consideration will be given by the Selection Committee to empirical and non-empirical papers.

Any author who believes he or she is eligible for Award consideration should notify the Editor directly at mstrober@mednet.ucla.edu and include the complete citation of the article, including names of any co-authors. A letter from the relevant official of the applicant’s Residency, Training, or Academic Program that certifies the date of the applicant’s graduation from the Program will be needed for documenting eligibility and must be received by the Editor prior to the Committee’s review of candidate papers.

Documentation of eligibility can be sent to Dr. Strober via email: mstrober@mednet.ucla.edu; fax:(310)825-2982; or postal service: Michael Strober, PhD, Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior at UCLA, 760 Westwood Plaza, Los Angeles, California 90024-1759 U.S.A. We are truly delighted to be able to offer this special support and acknowledgement to young investigators.

The deadline for submission is March 1, 2009.
