Responsibilities include:

  • Facilitation of intake and admissions process
  • Program development and improvement from both clinical and fiscal perspectives. Fine tuning of program policies and procedures in anticipation of accreditation
  • Oversight of the utilization review process, and program compliance issues, and clinical documentation standards.

The Comprehensive Care Center for Eating Disorders of NENY is funded through the New York State Department of Health, with clinical services provided by Albany Medical College and Four Winds Psychiatric Hospital.  The mission of the Center is to serve those affected by the complex issues associated with eating disorders by providing best practices and a seamless continuum of care so that each individual is given the opportunity to heal the body, mind, and spirit.

The Center is seeking a part time therapist to join our treatment team in Albany, New York, working as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team.  The position offers the opportunity to work with patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.  The qualified candidate must have a current NYS license and experience in the treatment of eating disorders. 

Clinical responsibilities include individual therapy, group facilitation, clinical assessments, insurance reviews, participation in daily rounds and weekly team treatment meetings, and outreach and education programs to professionals and the community.  Administrative duties include program development and implementation.

Eating Disorder Research Program Positions

The University of California, San Diego Eating Disorders Treatment and Research Program is seeking eating disorders colleagues for the opening of our new day treatment program in La Jolla, CA. We will be providing care for a group of around 10 individuals, providing treatment 9am to 5pm Monday through Friday. We are hoping to bring on four new positions as soon as possible including a psychology technician, intake coordinator, and program manager. Psychology Technician
The psychology technician will assist the program manager and program therapist in the day treatment program. Their duties would include supervising patients during meals, office/administration help, and patient group care. Bachelor’s degree in psychology or higher required, preferably with knowledge or interests in eating disorders. We will provide training in working with patients in the program.

Intake Clinician
The intake clinician will help direct patients to the correct treatment and research programs that our clinic provides. They will act as a liaison between clinicians, researchers, and patients. A licensed therapist is required (LSW, MFT, PhD, PsyD) with the ability to employ their experience and background in therapy to assess, evaluate, and realize patient needs. Eating Disorder knowledge and past work in a health care setting required. Full time needed.

Eating Disorder Therapist
Eligible candidates will possess a Masters in behavioral sciences therapy, social work, or more (MFT, SW, PhD, PsyD), with experience in eating disorders treatment. Will provide treatment for day program patients under supervision of program manager. Expect several years of experience in therapy for mental health setting. Full time required.

Program Manager

Program Coordinator

The Psychiatric Research Institute (PRI) at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) in Little Rock, Arkansas, is seeking applicants for a Program Coordinator for the Eating Disorder Program. The program currently provides multidisciplinary outpatient services to men and women with eating disorders. These include individual, group and family therapy; nutritional counseling and planning; psychiatric consultation; medication management; and medical monitoring. The PRI is one of ten such institutes in the United States, and has been established as one of six Centers of Excellence at UAMS. In the winter of 2008, it is scheduled to move into a newly-built facility which will integrate clinical services, research, and education. This facility will include both outpatient and inpatient programs, and will allow for expansion of the Eating Disorder Program to include more comprehensive services, including intensive outpatient services, partial hospitalization, and inpatient treatment. Responsibilities:
The Program Coordinator oversees daily program functions and works with the Medical Director to provide administrative, financial, and clinical oversight of all clinical care activities provided by program staff. Works with administrative support staff to coordinate pre-admission screening, scheduling, prior authorization and transfer/referral to other programs as needed. Works with departmental administrative leadership to develop and implement program policies and procedures; to address staffing needs, including recruiting, hiring, and training of new clinical and administrative staff; and to gather, analyze and disseminate financial information as well as help prepare budgets and provide routine financial oversight. Financial oversight includes the review of financial viability of new program development and monitoring existing programs for continuation and/or expansion. In addition, the Program Coordinator provides direct mental health services including but not limited to diagnostic assessment, individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, collateral intervention, and crisis intervention to clients with eating disorders, as well as to a general adolescent and young adult population at UAMS Programs for Young Adults, which serves clients ages 14 to 24.

Qualifications:
Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field, plus two (2) years experience working directly with adolescents, young adults, and their families in a mental health or social services setting. Experience working directly with clients with eating

Responsibilities
 As the Registered Dietitian for our facility, you will assess, plan, implement and evaluate the factors, which influence the nutritional status of patients.  Then, using these factors develop individualized meal plans where appropriate. Daily responsibilities also include: participating in team assessments, supporting patients and staff with guidelines for meal preparations and outings, assisting patients with meal planning and proper portioning, developing and facilitating a nutrition groups including an ongoing intuitive eating group. Individual will also provide nutrition therapy for outpatient clients and all clients in Shoreline programming. Additional responsibilities will also include:  menu planning and budgeting as well as supervision of diet techs.  At Shoreline we adopt the philosophy of assisting our patients to understand and ultimately implement Intuitive Eating skills as they progress in their recovery.

Requirements
The right candidate will be registered with the American Dietetics Association, and have professional experience in eating disorder treatment. Knowledge of Intuitive Eating concepts necessary.  Must also be flexible, compassionate while being able to maintain professional boundaries.  Some evening hours required.  This position is part-time 16-20 hour job.
