Compassionate, flexible and highly knowledgeable in the mental health treatment of children and adolescents suffering from eating disorders, you will serve as a key member of the multidisciplinary Eating Disorders Program team, providing tertiary level psychiatric care for patients attending the Eating Disorders Inpatient and Outpatient Treatment Programs at BC Children’s Hospital.  An experienced Psychiatrist, you bring expertise in psychiatric assessment, treatment and management to this critical role.  Participating in the treatment of children and adolescents suffering from anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa and related eating disorders, you will provide comprehensive care and treatment for patients and their families.

You hold a fellowship with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, or equivalent, with a Psychiatric specialty, and are eligible for licensure in British Columbia.  Training and experience in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry is required while specialized training in eating disorders is preferred. You will use your extensive hands-on experience and background in treating complex clinical problems to support the ongoing education of our team and to further the mental health of children and adolescents within the province of British Columbia. 

Housed in a purpose built Mental Health Building at BC Children’s Hospital, the Eating Disorders Program, part of a provincial tertiary care network, offers multiple components, including 14 inpatient beds, 6 day treatment beds, and a large outpatient service serving  75-85 outpatients who attend one or more of our three weekly clinics. Outpatients are also offered meal support therapy as part of their treatment plan.

The Division of Adolescent Medicine at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center seeks a faculty member specializing in eating disorders research.  An MD or PhD is required; faculty rank and salary are commensurate with the candidate’s experience, training and achievements.  Cincinnati Children’s has an active annual caseload of approximately 180 patients with eating disorders, primarily anorexia nervosa.  These patients generate 1,500 medical visits per year, with about 50 hospitalizations annually.  Collaboration with registered dietitians, mental health providers and medical physicians available.

  • We are seeking a highly motivated clinician to coordinate and enhance our family and/or couples therapy services across all levels of care throughout The Emily Program, as well as provide therapy and clinical supervision to family therapy trainees. Gifted Mental Health Therapist with a Passion for Alternative Medicine

Tucson, AZ: Mirasol is a CARF-accredited residential eating disorder treatment facility for women with a strong emphasis on mind-body-spirit healing. Our multidisciplinary treatment team consists of practitioners from traditional psychiatry, psychotherapy, and medicine work closely with practitioners of complementary medicine to assess the biochemical relationship between the body, nutrition, and mental health for each client. We do not focus on behavior extinction, but rather on identifying the root of the problem and developing new ways of communicating and coping that restore and maintain overall balance. We believe that the skills we teach are more effective and longer lasting than restrictive protocols, and we offer the opportunity to practice those skills in a safe environment that supports change.

We are currently looking for a gifted therapist to join our team. Responsibilities include developing individual treatment plans in conjunction with the client and other members of the treatment team, providing heart-centered individual, group and family therapy, building strong relationships with referring therapists through regular interaction, documenting client progress in accordance with behavioral health requirements, communicating as needed with insurance companies and provide updates on client progress, and being an active participant of the treatment team in weekly staff meetings.

This position requires a Master's Degree in social work, counseling, or psychology and at least three years of professional experience. The ideal candidate will be currently licensed as a professional counselor, marriage and family counselor, social worker or an associate counselor working towards licensure.
